How to Take a Screenshot on Windows #
On Windows, the easiest way to take a screenshot of a selected area is to use the built-in screenshot tool.
Press the following keys at the same time:
Windows key + Shift + S
The Windows key is the key with the Windows logo on it, usually located between Ctrl and Alt.
After pressing the shortcut, your screen will become slightly darker and a small toolbar will appear at the top of the screen.
Select the Area You Want to Capture #
Use your mouse to select the part of the screen you want to capture.
You can choose a small area, a window, or the full screen depending on what you need to show.
When you release the mouse button, the screenshot is copied and a notification should appear in the corner of the screen.
Save the Screenshot on Windows #
Click the screenshot notification to open it.
Then click Save and choose where you want to save the file, for example on your desktop or in your Pictures folder.
You can then attach the saved screenshot to an email or upload it when contacting support.
How to Take a Screenshot on Mac #
On a Mac, you can take a screenshot of the entire screen using a keyboard shortcut.
Press the following keys at the same time:
Command + Shift + 3
The Command key is marked with the symbol ⌘.
Where the Screenshot Is Saved on Mac #
After taking the screenshot, the image is normally saved automatically to your desktop.
The file name usually includes the date and time the screenshot was taken, making it easier to find.
